Production Line Worker

Production Line Workers set up and operate equipment to produce cold-pressed juice and other ready-to-eat foods. They are responsible for following correct operating procedures for food safety and product formulation, monitoring quality all the way through final bottling and case packing of products, and for sanitation of the equipment and processing area.

This position will report to work in Albuquerque at the food manufacturing facility near Balloon Fiesta Park. A minimum of 1-year of previous food manufacturing experience is preferred. This position works on average 30 hours per week on a shift schedule. Occasional night shifts may be required.

Tasks:

  • Record production and test data for each product batch.
  • Follow recipes to produce goods to product specifications.
  • Set up, operate, tend, break down and sanitize equipment used to manufacture and bottle juice.
  • Select and measure or weigh ingredients.
  • Inspect and pack the final product.
  • Sanitize work environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. No separate sanitation team exists.

Required Qualifications:

  • Commitment to quality team work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours or overtime as needed
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in food manufacturing
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including repeated bending/stooping and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability work under special work conditions such as extreme heat or cold. The work environments is chilled to 38◦F and requires standing and walking during the full shift.
  • Ability to leave cell phones and earbuds in locker during shift.
  • Ability to remove all jewelry while working, including piercings.
  • Ability to get to work reliably every day.
  • Ability and willingness to learn to operate equipment, including forklift, wash line and bottling line.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Experience with food safety compliance
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principals
  • Experience with OSHA

Status:                                Hourly, Part Time or Full Time (30+ hours/week)

Compensation:                $13.00-$16.00

HPP Production Worker

HPP Production Workers load and unload items for HPP processing in a cold work environment.  They are responsible for following correct operating procedures for food safety and occupational health and safety, monitoring quality all the way through final packaging inspection, case packing and palletizing of products, and for sanitation of the equipment and storage areas in the HPP room.

This position will report to work in Albuquerque at the food manufacturing facility near Balloon Fiesta Park.  On the job training is provided, however prior experience in food manufacturing is preferred.

Tasks:
  • Load and unload packaged food items in a cold room.
  • Label products, packing items and sorting material.
  • Pack and store materials and products
  • Follow GMP processes
  • Maintain a clean work area, machines, equipment and products.
  • Use electric pallet jacks for material movement. 
  • Maintain accurate counts of product production.
Required Qualifications:
  • Commitment to quality team work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility of schedule to work different shifts and/or potential longer shift hours or overtime as needed
  • Experience working in warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability work under special work conditions such as extreme heat or cold

Status:                                Part Time or Full Time, Hourly

Compensation:                $12.00-$15.00

Working conditions are normal for a plant manufacturing ready-to-eat refrigerated products.  Food safety practices are followed and upheld to the full extent.  Work will involve living of raw materials, finished cases of product or bags of refuse.  You will be required to wear face masks, observe hygiene and social distancing policies and wear safety glasses during sanitation.  The work environments is cold and requires standing and walking during the full shift.
