Opening April 2021
New Mexico Fresh Foods is the first High Pressure Processing (HPP) facility in the Southwest. HPP is the fastest growing food processing industry because it extends the shelf life of fresh foods without the need for chemical preservatives or heat. HPP kills harmful bacteria, viruses and molds on food, but does not affect color, taste or nutrition. HPP products proudly carry a “clean” label.
We are a business-to-business model that provides HPP processing to other food producers, from small value-added agriculture producers to established food manufacturers, who seek to expand their market reach for fresh, refrigerated food products like dips, ready-to-eat meals, meats, beverages, plant-based-foods and many others.
NMFF also offers additional services including co-packaging and co-manufacturing of beverages, dips and dressings, case packing, palletizing and freezer- and cold-storage.
We offer an HPP tolling service to food manufactures on a service fee basis, which extends the shelf life of fresh foods without the need for chemical preservatives or heat pasteurization.
We co-manufacture cold beverages, specializing in juice and cold-brew. We can also produce cold-dips, sauces, dressings or repackage food products into HPP-compatible containers.
Our 20,000 square foot facility is nearly all refrigerated, with some limited freezer space. We offer our extra cold storage space to HPP partners first, and extra capacity is available to rent when available.
Our HPP partners may need help tweaking recipes or picking packaging. We have also have the ability to help fast track product development, allowing our partners to bring many products to market more quickly.
